Remembering Bitcoin Pizza Day 🍕
So Monday was the anniversary of Bitcoin pizza day. Here’s the story – on May 22, 2010, a Bitcoin supporter named Laszlo Hanyecz ordered two Papa John’s pizzas and paid 10,000 BTC for them 🤯.
This transaction is notable because it is the first time recorded that someone used Bitcoin to pay for anything 🤝🏻. And, it has inspired millions of other Bitcoin transactions to date. So, every May 22nd, we celebrate that day to honor Laszlo and his milestone 👏.
Although considering that 10,000 BTC today is worth about $260 million, we’re pretty sure Laszlo would want his money back 🙈.

According to reports, the woman claimed that her husband had hidden away about 12 BTC in a crypto wallet, thinking that her lawyers wouldn’t find the money and force him to split it with her 🙆♂️. Well, looks like our guy got caught in the act there.
Bitcoin Might Elect The Next U.S President 🇺🇸
It’s crazy to think about but the next U.S. Presidential Elections are just around the corner. And, the candidates are already stepping out 🙋♂️.
This week alone, two candidates – Robert F. Kennedy and Vivek Ramaswamy – announced that they would be accepting campaign donations in Bitcoin 🤩. Considering that more people are expected to announce their bids, it’ll be fun to see who else follows suit.
Crypto Hacks Have Reduced! 🥳
This week, sources confirmed that the first quarter of 2023 saw fewer amounts of crypto being lost to hacks and scams than any quarter in 2022 💪.
The average hack size also dropped significantly in the quarter, showing that crypto investors are getting more careful 😤. But, let’s all remember to always stay safe and not let our guard down. Quidax surely won’t be taking any chances with your security! 🔐
