Quidax Supports the New Polygon (POL) Upgrade

You might have heard about Polygon (MATIC) in the past, but you probably don’t know the token is now called “POL (ex MATIC).” Well, that’s because the Polygon Network switched MATIC to POL on September 4, 2024.

The network upgrade resulted in a name change, and POL (ex MATIC) is now the new ticker for the Polygon token. In the same light, Quidax has upgraded all existing Polygon (MATIC) tokens on the exchange to the new Polygon (POL).

If you had the old MATIC tokens on Quidax, there’s no need to worry or take any action. We have replaced your tokens with the new POL upgrade in a 1:1 ratio. So, you’ll have the same amount of tokens in your new POL wallet as you did in the old MATIC wallet.

Looking at its price trend, the token migration and the current positive sentiment in the broader crypto market have positively impacted the POL price. As of the time of writing this post, the POL price is about $0.4, up by over 8% in the past week.
