Africa is one of the biggest markets for tech talent right now. Demand for African tech talent has been rising, and today, you can find African tech gurus all over the world. Some of the world’s biggest tech companies have African developers, and the African tech space has also been pretty vibrant.
At the same time, we noticed that a lot of young Africans want to become developers. Whether it’s because of the sweet salaries that “tech bros” earn or because they’re really passionate about building cool stuff, Africans are signing up to become developers in huge numbers.
It’s a race to join the popping industry right now.
Enter: AltSchool Africa (and Quidax!)
AltSchool is an educational program that started in October 2021. Their goal is simple; to train and support people as they launch their tech careers.
AltSchool is open to everyone – whether you’re fresh out of high school, want to get some additional tech education, or you’re a career person trying to switch to tech. As long as you’re willing to put in the work, AltSchool is for you.
We’re partnering with AltSchool for two reasons:
- They’ve got a cool name – AltSchool is so trendy, isn’t it? ?
- More importantly, we believe in their vision ?. Africa needs more people in tech, and we’re willing to help.
So, here we are. To show our commitment, we’ll provide scholarships for 100 students to join the 2022 AltSchool cohort. All beneficiaries will be able to learn top tech skills like product management and software engineering.
