Uche is your average guy with big crypto dreams, if only he could figure out what everyone is saying. From struggling with terms like “candlesticks” to avoiding crypto groups where everyone acts like a guru, his journey has been more confusion than confidence. But Uche is not giving up just yet.
Uche: Please o, I hope this interview will not be in crypto code? I’m a novice o.
Lol. Errr. The way the interview works is that I introduce you to the audience first
Uche: Lol, I know oo. I’m just too traumatised by hearing lots of crypto terms every time I speak with a crypto person, so let me ask before we start abeg.
Calm down! Oya, let’s start from the beginning. You say you’re a novice in crypto, what has your experience been like?
Uche: Confusing. Just confusing. (laughs) The first time I tried to learn, someone said, “Check the moving averages (MA), then set a stop-loss below the support level,” and I thought they were speaking in code.
(laughs) Did you ask for help?
Uche: Are you kidding? Crypto communities are like high school cliques. Everyone acts like they were born knowing this stuff. If you ask, “What’s leverage?” they’ll reply, “Oh, just use 2x to avoid liquidation,” and you’re even more lost.
So you’ve been navigating solo?
Uche: I’ve been trying, but it’s not easy. One time, I googled “bullish engulfing pattern,” and instead of understanding charts, I ended up on a wildlife documentary about bulls.
Sorry but this is so hilarious. What keeps you going?
Uche: Honestly, it’s the hope that one day I’ll be the guy saying, “Buy the dip” without feeling like a fraud. Right now, I avoid joining crypto groups because they make me feel like the slow kid in class.
What has been the toughest part?
Uche: The terms! Why can’t they just use normal words? Like, instead of “candlesticks,” just say “price graph thingy.” And “liquidity”? Just call it “money in the pool!” It’s like the crypto world is designed to confuse you.
(laughs) Have you made any progress despite all this?
Uche: A little. I can now buy crypto without panicking, but I still don’t understand what I’m doing half the time. I’ve made a few trades, and let’s just say I’ve “donated” money to the market.
Sounds like you’re in need of some help.
Uche: Oh, absolutely. I just want to understand what I’m doing. I want to stop being that guy who nods along when someone says “MACD” but has no idea what they’re talking about.
Then I’ve got good news for you. There’s a Quidax Crypto Trading Masterclass starting soon, and it’s designed for people like you.
Uche: (eyes wide) People like me? You mean confused people?
(laughs) Exactly! Over three weeks, you’ll learn everything, from basic terms to strategies, broken down in a way that actually makes sense. No judgment, no intimidation.
Uche: Finally! I’ve been avoiding “technical analysis” like it’s math class. Will this masterclass help me trade confidently?
Absolutely. You’ll not only learn the terms but also how to apply them in real trading. By the end, you’ll understand charts, trends, and even that “RSI” you mentioned.
Uche: (laughs) This sounds like exactly what I need. Sign me up before I end up on another wildlife documentary!
Consider it done. Register for the Quidax Trading Masterclass starting 22nd November here. It’ll feature expert trainers sharing actionable insights, live sessions on spot and futures trading, and bonus offers for all participants to kickstart trading.
Uche: Thank you! I can’t wait to stop pretending I know what I’m doing.
