Nkechi: (pretends to look around) Glowing, where? Okay, okay, let me not even lie —I don’t know what I did in that 2023 crossover vigil, but clearly, God heard my cries. I rolled on the floor, I shouted, “Lord, 2024 must be my year!” I didn’t know he was taking me that seriously.
And he did! Your year sounds fantastic.
Nkechi: Fantastic is too light to describe it. I’ve been one of God’s strongest soldiers for years, so I think He decided to give me a break.
What made it so good though? Because we all saw those dollar rates and fuel prices. For most people, it felt like Nigeria was in hard mode.
Nkechi: My dear, the way life was soft for me this year, I started questioning myself. I even asked my mom if she secretly took my name to one prophet. Everyone was shouting ‘God abeg!’ but me? My bank account was smiling, my vibe was untouched, and at some point, I started suspecting jazz.
Jazz, you say?
Nkechi: (laughing) I’m joking o! But honestly, everything I touched turned to gold. Gigs were coming in, deals were clicking, and for the first time, I made more money than I’ve ever seen.
I went on vacation outside Nigeria three times. At some point, I even thought, “Should I submit my name for Forbes Under 30, or is it too late?”

Nkechi: Apart from grace, which I will not downplay o, because grace is premium—I also diversified my income. I took a social media, content creation and digital marketing course last year, and this year, I offered my services.
